Batman Begins' Katie Holmes set to direct new trilogy; reunites with former co-star

Katie Holmes is all set to direct a new trilogy of films, titled Happy Hours. As per Deadline, the actor will also star in the films, which will reunite with her Dawson's Creek co-star, Joshua Jackson.'

The story of Happy Hours follows the story of two people who were romantically involved with each other when they were young, who reconnect again when they are older. The films will explore their relationship when faced with hurdles, families, and responsibilities.

With Holmes and Jackson, the rest of the cast includes Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson and Jack Martin.

The film is produced by Peter Coleman, Celine Rattray, Paula P Manzanedo, and Trudie Styler are producing the film. Bond Street Station, Crown Productions, Maven Street Media, and STX Films are producing the films. The first film will start production soon in New York, with the filming for the rest of the films scheduled to follow closely after.
