Distributor Warner Bros India announced through social media that F1 The Movie, starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, is back in IMAX screens across cities in India. The move comes as a result of the demand for the same from fans who loved the film based on Formula One racing. The decision also arises hot on the heels of Superman's release.

The Joseph Kosinski directorial follows a former Formula One driver (Pitt) who comes back to the championship to mentor a rookie (Idris) and save his longtime friend's (Javier Bardem) team APXGP from extinction. The film also stars Kerry Condon and Tobias Menzies in important supporting roles.

According to reports, F1 The Movie has grossed more than $300 million from theatres worldwide. The film's action sequences have set the audience's pulse racing, and its message about how passion and perseverance trump short-term fame and financial gains have resonated with audiences worldwide. The film has also earned critical appreciation for its performances, especially by Pitt and Bardem.
