Actor Aziza Scott, known for her TV shows Home Before Dark and The Fosters, and the recent film One of Them Days has joined the cast of Italianna alongside Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page.
Aziza Scott played a standout role in the hit buddy comedy One of Them Days, starring Keke Palmer and SZA where the duo are racing against time to give rent money to their apartment owner before they are evicted. The film was directed by Lawrence Lamont and a sequel is in development. Aziza Scott's Berniece plays a strong and menacing character who is chasing Palmer and SZA.
Italianna, directed by Kat Coiro (Marry Me, Matlock), is based on an original idea by Ryan and Kristin Engle and is slated for release on April 10 next year. Plot details and Scott's role have not been released yet.
Will Packer and Johanna Byer is backing the film through Will Packer Productions’ first-look deal with Universal Pictures.
