Opus trailer: Ayo Edebiri is a journalist who gets exclusive entry to a creepy celebrity cult get-together

The trailer for Opus, starring Ayo Edebiri in the lead role, was unveiled on Tuesday. The thriller film is written and directed by Mark Anthony Green and marks his feature directorial debut.

The trailer shows Ariel Ecton (Edebiri) as a journalist who gets an exclusive invite to legendary pop star Alfred Moretti's (John Malkovich) get-together in his compound. Only when she reaches there does she realise that the group is more of a creepy cult than a partying group.

Opus also stars Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino, and Tatanka Means, among others. The film is backed by Makeready and Macro Film Studios.

Opus is scheduled to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27, 2025, before being theatrically released on March 14, 2025, by A24.
