The other day, Netflix dropped a one-minute teaser for the upcoming Tom Hardy starrer Havoc. Hardy stars as a "bruised detective" who is tasked with rescuing a politician's son. As he goes about the rescue mission, dealing with a group of criminals, the detective discovers that there are instances of conspiracy and corruption in his city. The Gareth Evans directorial, which will release on Netflix on April 25, also stars Forest Whitaker, Justin Cornwell, Timothy Olyphant, Luis Guzmán, and Jessie Mei Li. At one point of the teaser, Whitaker, seemingly cast in the role of a high-powered executive, tells Hardy's detective, "And don’t forget, I know what you did," to which the latter replies, "You have no idea what I did."
Hardy also serves as a producer, alongside writer-director Evans, Aram Tertzakian, and Ed Talfan.
In a conversation with Rossatron on YouTube that dates back to 2020, Evans stated, "Havoc is going to be me unleashing the last three or four years of not doing something really big-scale with action, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to make that film next."
