After his role in 2016's Hell or High Water, Chris Pine is set to go back to Texas for a crime thriller titled Nowhere Fast. The film from writer-director Noah Hawley revolves around a man who accidentally kills his boss's nephew. Hawley, known as the creator of the series Legion and Fargo, is also bankrolling the film through his banner 26 Keys Productions. The makers are yet to announce further details about the project; they are now looking for further cast members.

Pine has been out of action for a while now, since his voice role as King Magnifico in the 2023 film Wish from Walt Disney Animation Studios. In the same year, he made his directorial debut with Poolman, also starring him alongside the likes of Annette Bening and Danny DeVito, among others.

On the other hand, besides Nowhere Fast, Hawley has the television series Alien: Earth in the pipeline.
