It seems like the Peaky Blinders world is not going to end with the standalone film based on the popular Netflix series, starring Cillian Murphy as the head honcho of a gangster family. In a recent BBC Breakfast episode, its creator Steven Knight suggested that the Peaky Blinders story would not be over with the upcoming film. Referring to the standalone Peaky Blinders film, also starring Murphy, Knight stated that "It is a very fitting way to end this part of the ‘Peaky’ story."
Knight added that the universe "will continue."
Knight also wrote the script for the film, where Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby. Directed by Tom Harper, Peaky Blinders also brings back the original's cast members Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, and Packy Lee.
The original series is set in the story set in 1900s Birmingham, where there is no established law. Production on the film has been wrapped, and it is now in post-production. "We’re putting it together now," said Knight.
On the other hand, Knight also has created the upcoming series A Thousand Blows.
