Miles Teller has been cast in key roles in two new films, one of which is a thriller titled Wild Game that will also star Casey Affleck. It reunites Teller with his Thank You for Your Service director Jason Hall. Hall is directing the film with a screenplay he has adapted from Frank Bergon's novel Wild Game. It revolves around a wildlife officer (Affleck) who gets into a dangerous encounter with a renegade (Teller) during a seemingly straightforward poacher arrest in the Black Rock Desert. The encounter upends the officer's reality and contributes to him seeking vengeance in a relentless way.

Range Select's Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh Jones are producing the film, along with Hall and Endurance Media's Steve Richards. Affleck and Teller act as executive producers as well.

Teller is also set to star in the titular role of Bartali, the other new announcement, concerning a biopic on Italian cyclist Gino Bartali. E Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin are set to direct the film, about the life of the cyclist who faced a prolonged career break due to the Second World War after his Tour de France win in 1938. Teller's upcoming projects also include the thriller The Gorge, with Anya Taylor-Joy, filmmaker Antoine Fuqua's Michael Jackson biopic Michael, and the rom-com Eternity with Elizabeth Olsen.
