Prime Video has decided against renewing The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh after the first season. The announcement comes three months after the premiere of the first season, which consisted of eight episodes.

An immigrant comedy, the series stars Naveen Andrews in the lead and is directed by Vijay Patel. The series didn't do well, given that The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh — often likened to ABC's Fresh Off the Boat — failed to resonate with audiences, despite garnering largely positive reviews.

The series is based on the life of the showrunner Vijay Patel. The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh revolves around the Pradeep family and chronicle the hilarious events of their first few months after moving to the US from India.

Along with Naveen, the ensemble cast of The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh also includes Sindhu Vee as Sudha Pradeep, Sahana Srinivasan as Bhanu Pradeep, Arjun Sriram as Kamal Pradeep, and Ashwin Sakthivel as Vinod Pradeep. The cast also includes Megan Hilty, Ethan Suplee, Nicholas Hamilton, Pete Holmes, and Romy Rosemont.

The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh was produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
