Prime Video reveals Young Sherlock's premiere date; teaser unveiled

Prime Video revealed that the upcoming series, Young Sherlock, will premiere on the platform on March 6, 2026. Guy Ritchie is directing the first two episodes of Young Sherlock, and serves as an executive producer.

The streamer also released a teaser for the series, which delved into the origins of the Baker Street detective, Sherlock Holmes (Hero Fiennes Tiffin), who is a student at the Oxford University in the 1870s. While encountering challenges and cases, he also encounters his most feared rival and fellow student, James Moriarty (Donal Finn).

The cast for the series also includes Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons, and Colin Firth.

Matthew Parkhill has created Young Sherlock and serves as a showrunner and an executive producer. Motive Pictures is backing the series.

Young Sherlock will be the third series, which is backed by Ritchie. The second season of The Gentlemen, based on the 2019 film directed by Ritchie is currently filming. MobLand, which stars Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, premiered on JioHotstar this year. It has been renewed for a second season.
