Milly Alcock is all set to star in the upcoming film Thumb, reported Deadline. Alcock was recently seen as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in James Gunn's Superman (2025).

Thumb will be directed by Daina Oniunas-Pusic, who made her her directorial debut with the Julia Louis-Dreyfus starrer, Tuesday. Akiva Goldsman, who won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for A Beautiful Mind (2001), is producing the film along with Greg Lessans, Beau Turpin, Annie Saperstein, Brooke Saperstein, and Richard Saperstein. Weed Road and Bluestone Entertainment are backing the film, which starts filming later this year in New York.

The story of the film is centred around a lonely woman, who is delivered a severed thumb by post. She makes it her only purpose to find the person it was taken from, which sets her down a perilious path.

Alcock is known for her role as Princess Rheanyra Targaryen in the first season of the Games of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon. She is currently filming Supergirl, which is directed by Craig Gillespie, and also stars Jason Momoa as Lobo. The film is set to be released on June 26, 2026.
