After Aaron Pierre and Patrick Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Basso, known for Netflix's The Night Agent, becomes the latest to join the cast of Love of Your Life. The film will be directed by Rachel Morrison, marking another high-profile outing for the acclaimed cinematographer-turned-director.

Love of Your Life, billed to be heartbreaking, revolves around Margaret Qualley's character, who suddenly finds herself single and is forced to figure out a way to progress ahead in her life. The screenplay is penned by Julia Cox, while Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson are producing the film under their Open Invite Entertainment banner. Production for the film is currently underway.

Gabriel Basso, who commenced his career as a child actor in 2010, nabbed his first full-fledged role in the Showtime series The Big C. JJ Abrams' Super 8 was his first major film role, following which he starred in a variety of films, including his turn as JD Vance in Hillbilly Elegy. He received the opportunity to play the titular role in The Night Agent in 2023.

Last seen in Juror #2 starring Nicholas Hoult in the lead role, Gabriel Basso has The Strangers: Chapter 2 and A House of Dynamite in the pipeline. A House of Dynamite is Katherine Bigelow's upcoming Netflix film starring an ensemble comprising Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, and more. Basso's The Night Agent season 2 premiered on January 23, 2025, and is now renewed for a third season.
