Netflix recently released the trailer for its upcoming whodunit, The Thursday Murder Club, online. The film stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Ben Kingsley in the lead.

The film, which is based on Richard Osman's book of the same name, follows a group of friends in a retirement home, who fashion themselves as The Thursday Murder club, get entangled in a real murder investigation, which they take upon themselves to solve.

The rest of the cast of the film includes Celia Imrie, Naomie Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Ingrid Oliver, and Richard E Grant.

The Thursday Murders Club is directed by Chris Columbus, who, among other projects, has directed Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Steven Spielberg serves as a producer on the film. Amblin Entertaintment will back the film along with Netflix. The film will stream on Netflix from August 28.
