As the members of Hawkins and Eleven prepare for one final showdown in Stranger Things season 5 as Vecna unleashes its fury, a bittersweet feeling swirls in the air as the cast members along with the audience are also preparing to say goodbye to the series that kept them engaged since 2016.

Actor Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler on the sci-fi series by Matt and Ross Duffer recalled the moment he wrapped filming his portions in the series. “When I walked out from doing the scene, it was just one of the greatest moments in my entire life. I didn't process at the time because it was just so emotional. There was a lot of Champagne,” he told Variety in an interview.

The actor said while everyone around him was sad about the show ending with its fifth and final season, coming this November, he kept pushing away the thought and was in denial until his final scene.

“I turned around from the monitors, and it was hundreds of people just hanging out for the first time in the same room after 10 years of working. And they were just watching... So if that wasn't enough of a mind**** there, it was also like, ‘Wait, that means it's ending',” he said, noting that many cast members including Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Maya Hawke were present at the place.

The actor, along with Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp became overnight stars with the success of the show and its legacy.

Stranger Things season 5 also stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Jamie Campbell Bower. Joining the cast are Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, with Linda Hamilton as Dr Kay.

The fifth season of Stranger Things is set to release on Netflix in three volumes, with the first volume premiering on November 26, the second volume on Christmas, and the finale on December 31.

Other than Stranger Things, Wolfhard has been in 17 movies including It: Chapter One, It: Chapter Two, and more recently in Saturday Night. Wolfhard also plans on taking directorial duties, working on the horror remake of Idle Hands, a 1999 cult horror film.
