Tom Holland is keeping things coy but candid when it comes to the swirling rumours about him possibly stepping into the tuxedo of James Bond.

While no casting has been officially confirmed for Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming Bond film, Holland’s name has been one of many floated as a potential successor to 007. The film is set to be directed by Dune filmmaker Denis Villeneuve and penned by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.

In a recent conversation with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, the Spider-Man star was asked directly about the speculation. “Listen, there’s speculation at the moment. We’ll keep it to a minimum for now. We’ll get there one day,” Holland replied with a knowing smile.

Ramsay followed up by asking if the opportunity was something Holland would be excited about. “I mean, every young British actor—it’s the pinnacle of working in our industry,” Holland responded. “I already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive. I could not have dreamed of having the career that I have.”

Holland joins a growing list of actors rumoured for the iconic role, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Tom Hardy. Former Bond star Pierce Brosnan has publicly endorsed both actors, recently telling The Hollywood Reporter that Hardy would be a “wonderful” choice and previously voicing his support for Taylor-Johnson as well.

As for what’s officially ahead for Holland, he’s set to return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which begins filming this month in England. The fourth installment of the franchise is slated to hit theatres on July 31, 2026, and will feature Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk.
