Pamela Anderson, Dakota Fanning, and Lindsay Duncan join the cast of Sally Potter's Alma as leads, reports Variety. Anderson was recently nominated for a Golden Globe award for her role in The Last Showgirl.
The story of Alma centres around a family that meets to scatter the ashes of their mother. But their secrets are continuously and comically revealed by the haunting presence of their mother.
The rest of the cast of Alma includes Earl Cave, Esme Creed-Miles, Arize Kene, and Esther McGregor.
Stephen Kelliher is an executive producer on the film for Bankside Films. Christopher Sheppard, who is a long-time collaborator of Potter, is producing the film under the Adventure Pictures banner. Rebecca O'Brien is also producing the film under the Sixteen Films banner. Alma is currently in the pre-production stage, with filming set to begin in September in England.
Anderson's upcoming projects include The Naked Gun, Rosebrush Pruning, and Place to Be.
