Actor Lena Waithe is the latest to join the cast of Place To Be, a drama from Pieces of a Woman filmmaker Kornel Mundruczo. She joins the star-studded cast featuring Ellen Burstyn, Taika Waititi, Pamela Anderson and Edgar Ramirez.

The upcoming film which is currently in production at Disney Studios in Sydney, revolves around a no-nonsense woman Brooke (Burstyn) and a discombobulated divorcee Nelson's (Waititi) trip from Chicago to bring a racing pigeon back to its rightful owner in New York.

Waithe portrays Shy, who helps Brooke on her journey to track down the owner of the lost pigeon. Anderson is set to portray the woman's daughter, who comes to terms with life after second marriage and is anxious about finding a new home for her ageing mother.
