Prime Video recently announced that Sonic The Hedgehog 3 will release on the platform on April 24. Jim Carrey returns as Dr Robotnik from the previous films.

The official synopsis of Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is as follows: "Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite to face a formidable new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious hedgehog with unmatched abilities that threaten to upend everything they’ve fought to protect. As Shadow unleashes chaos, Team Sonic is forced to seek out an unlikely alliance to stand a chance at protecting the planet."

With Carrey, the film's cast includes Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Krysten Ritter, Tika Sumpter, Lee Majdoub, and Colleen O'Shaughnessey, with Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves.

Jeff Fowler returns to direct the film, for which the story is written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. The screenplay for the film is written by Casey, Miller, and John Whittington. Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, Toru Nakahara and Hitoshi Okuno produced the film. Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is backed by Paramount Pictures and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
