Netflix renews Devil May Cry for season 2

The series comes from Capcom and was created by Adi Shankar. Studio Mir handled animation for the series

Netflix’s adaptation of the Japanese video game franchise Devil May Cry has been renewed for another season. The announcement comes a week after the premiere of the first season.

The official logline of Devil May Cry reads, “When a mysterious villain threatens to open the gates of Hell, a devilishly handsome demon hunter could be the world's best hope for salvation.” The series comes from Capcom and was created by Adi Shankar. Studio Mir handled animation for the series.

The protagonist Dante's voice in the series is provided by Johnny Yong Bosch, who voiced Nero in the video games. The series Devil May Cry had been in development for a while. It was under development both during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Five actual games, a reboot, an HD collection, and a mobile game have all been released by Devil May Cry. In addition to providing some motion capture for Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 4, and Devil May Cry 5, Reuben Langdon voiced Dante in the video games.
