Netflix unveiled the trailer for Nonnas, the upcoming American comedy film starring Vince Vaughn, on Wednesday. Helmed by Stephen Chbosky and written by Liz Maccie, the film is all set to premiere on Netflix on May 9.

The official logline of the film reads, “A man risks everything to honour his mother by opening an Italian restaurant with a group of local grandmothers.” The trailer shows Vaughn’s character picking women with conflicting ideologies and boasted egos as chefs for his hotel. What ensues is a comedy of errors with a lot of chaos, which seems to eventually turn into empathy and understanding.

Susan Sarandon, Joe Manganiello, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, Linda Cardellini and Drea de Matteo also star in Nonnas. The film is based on the life of Joe Scaravella, the owner of Staten Island restaurant Enoteca Maria, where grandmothers (nonnas) are invited to work as chefs.
