The makers of Bougainvillea, the upcoming Amal Neerad directorial, released the first song from the film a while ago. Titled 'Sthuthi', it is composed and co-sung by Sushin Shyam, who also features in the song video alongside Jyothirmayi and Kunchacko Boban. Sushin and Mary Ann Alexander have sung the song, which comes in the electronic dance music (EDM) genre, based on Vinayak Sasikumar's lyrics.

Bougainvillea marks a comeback to acting for Jyothirmayi after a long break, and the cast also includes Fahadh Faasil, Sharafudheen, Veena Nandakumar, and Srinda. In a recent media interaction, Kunchacko Boban said that it would feature him in a never-seen-before role. It has been a long time since Kunchacko has danced in a film, especially for such an extensively choreographed track as 'Sthuthi'.

With the film, Kunchacko is collaborating for the first time with Amal Neerad. On the other hand, Fahadh has worked with director Amal on Tournament, Iyobinte Pusthakam, and Varathan, as well as cinematographer Amal on Trance.

Amal Neerad has co-written the screenplay for the film with crime-thriller novelist Lajo Jose. It has cinematography by Anand C Chandran, editing by Vivek Harshan, and costume design by Sameera Saneesh, who all worked with Amal on Bheeshmaparvam.

Produced under the Amal Neerad Productions and Udaya Pictures banners, with Kunchako Boban and Jyothirmayi serving as joint producers, Bougainvillea is set to have its theatrical release soon.
