The trailer for Bong Joon-ho's upcoming directorial, Mickey 17, starring Robert Pattinson in the lead, was released on Tuesday. The film is based on the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton.

The trailer shows Mickey Barnes (Pattinson), signing up for the most unconventional job ever, dying for a living. He dies multiple times as scientists experiment with various versions of himself. However, when 2 or more of his versions are alive at the same time, chaos ensues.

The official synopsis for Mickey 17 reads, " The unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living."

Apart from Pattinson, Mickey 17 also stars Naomi Ackie, Mark Ruffalo, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, Holliday Grainger, Anamaria Vartolomei, Thomas Turgoose, Angus Imrie, Patsy Ferran, Daniel Henshall, and Steve Park.

Backed by Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Bong Joon-ho, and Dooho Choi, Mickey 17 is all set to hit theatres on January 31, 2025.
