Ewan McGregor to receive a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Ewan McGregor, who is best known for playing Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel films and the 2022 miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi, will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

McGregor rose to fame with the 1996 film Trainspotting, where he played the drug addict Mark Renton. He is also known for the action film Black Hawk Down (2001), fantasy film Big Fish (2003), the thriller Angels and Demons (2009), and the neo-noir film The Ghost Writer (2010).

McGregor is also an Emmy winner, having won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for his portrayal of fashion designer Halston in the miniseries Halston (2021).

The official note from Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez read, "The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is excited to honour Ewan McGregor in celebration of his exceptional career and accomplishments with this dedication ceremony. His portrayal of iconic characters has left a lasting impact on fans worldwide. Star Wars fans across the world will be thrilled to see his Walk of Fame star on Hollywood’s iconic and history-laden sidewalk!"
