The Order Trailer: Jude Law's FBI agent out to catch Nicholas Hoult's terrorist

Also starring Tye Sheridan and Jurnee Smollett, the film is slated for a December 6 release in theatres

Vertical Entertainment dropped the first official trailer for The Order, director Justin Kurzel's crime thriller starring Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult. The film stars Law as an FBI agent, who leads a team that looks into a chain of bank robberies and violent bombings in the Pacific Northwest, and Hoult as a charismatic terrorist seeking to oust the American government. The film also stars Tye Sheridan and Jurnee Smollett.

Law also produced the film alongside Kurzel, Sheridan, Smollett, Alison Oliver, Odessa Young, Sebastian Pigott, George Tchortov, Victor Slezak and Marc Maron also star. Bryan Haas, and Stuart Ford. According to the makers, the film is based on a true story.

At the Venice Film Festival, where The Order earned a standing ovation after its world premiere, Hoult stated that he did not speak to Law in the first month of production to establish a distance between their characters. Reportedly, Kurzel also tasked Law with following Hoult for some hours without the latter's knowledge.

The Order is slated for a December 6 release in theatres.
