Nicholas Pryor passes away at 89

With a career spanning seven decades, Pryor is best known for his roles as the father of Tom Cruise's character in Risky Business and that of Robert Downey Jr's character in Less Than Zero

Actor Nicholas Pryor died of cancer on October 7 in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was aged 80 years. Nicholas's agent Susan Tolar Walters, stated, "He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and he will be missed."

With a career spanning seven decades, Pryor is best known for his roles as the father of Tom Cruise's character in Risky Business and that of Robert Downey Jr's character in Less Than Zero. His other popular credits include Beverly Hills, 90210 and the General Hospital spinoff Port Charles.

Some of his other screen credits are Halloween Kills, The Outsider, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Doctor Sleep, Buster’s Mal Heart, A Summer’s Day, Cosmic Kiosk, Constantine, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, Hart of Dixie, and Nashville.

The actor also collaborated with his spouse Christine Belford on Beverly Hills, 90210. He is survived by his wife, daughter Stacey, and two grandkids.
