Legendary Entertainment and Netflix's Enola Holmes franchise is set to have a third instalment, with Philip Barantini to direct. The makers are in the final stages of negotiations, but reports strongly suggest that lead actor Millie Bobby Brown is set to come back in her role as the titular detective. It is expected to be the actor's next big project after completing production on the Stranger Things finale.

Enola Holmes films follow the younger sibling of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), namely Enola (Bobby Brown), as she solves Victorian London mysteries. An adaptation of Nancy Springer’s books, the Enola Holmes franchise started with the first entry in the franchise in 2020, followed by a sequel in 2022. Apart from Bobby Brown, the cast of the franchise also includes Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes, and Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes.

Apart from Bobby Brown, the film also reunites Barantini with Netflix after the show Adolescence.
