Streamer Hulu has officially renewed the courtroom series Reasonable Doubt for the third season.

The pickup announcement comes four weeks after the second season of the series concluded.

Reasonable Doubt's showrunner Raamla Mohamed reportedly told The Hollywood Reporter earlier that the streamer is happy with how the series is being received and added he is hoping to hear something before the end of the year, apparently hinting at the renewal of the series.

Coming from Disney's Onyx Collective and 20th Television, Reasonable Doubt season two revolves around Los Angeles defence attorney Jacqueline "Jax" Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi) defending a close friend (Shannon Kane) who is facing charges of first-degree murder of her abusive husband.

The second season also starred McKinley Freeman, Tim Jo, Angela Grovey, Thaddeus J Mixson, Aderinsola Olabode, Michael Ealy and Morris Chestnut.

Raamla Mohamed, Kerry Washington, Pilar Savone, Larry Wilmore, Shawn Holley and Anton Cropper served as executive producers.
