Academy Award nominee Maria Bakalova (The Apprentice) and acclaimed actor Peter Mullan (Children of Men) are set to lead No Way Off, a thriller about a young mother and her baby who become trapped on a bus after being abducted by a dangerous driver.

Written by Gaby Hull (Cheat, Two Weeks To Live), the movie will be directed by award-winning filmmaker Brian Kelly (Downton Abbey) and produced by Matthew James Wilkinson  under his Stigma Films label. According to the announcement, No Way Off  is inspired by cinematic thrillers like Spielberg’s Duel, Panic Room, and other intense, single-location suspense films such as The Shallows, Buried, and Crawl.

Meanwhile, Bakalova was last seen in Triumph and has O Horizon, Dirty Angels and Mayday in the pipeline. She will also be playing a voice role in the upcoming series Creature Commando. Mullan, on the other hand, was last seen in Baghead and is currently filming for the series Lockerbie
