Andrew Flintoff and Disney+ are teaming up for a documentary film about the England all-rounder's career in cricket and recovery following his 2022 accident. South Shore is producing the documentary, which is yet to get a title. The 90-minute film promises to offer unprecedented access to the life and career of Flintoff, a cricketer turned commentator turned England Lions coach.

As per the official synopsis, it will "look back at Flintoff’s incredible life and cricketing career that saw him win two Ashes series with England and become a national sporting hero, whilst charting his life today and return to cricket following his life-altering car crash in 2022.”

Filmmaker John Dower has been shooting the documentary with the legendary England international cricketer over the last year.

Flintoff served as a presenter for the show Top Gear, along with Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness, between 2019 and 2022. During the production of Top Gear in December 2022 in Surrey, Flintoff met with an accident that broke his ribs and severely injured his face. After the crash, the BBC paused the show for "the foreseeable future."

Flintoff also serves as an executive producer on the film, alongside Andrew Mackenzie and Naomi Templeton for South Shore, as well as Disney+ executive director Sean Doyle.
