Actor Douglas Osowski, known by his stage name Mr Lawrence, is set to direct The Office meets Frankenstein, a comedy-horror toon.

Osowski is currently working on a six-minute short pilot of the full adult animation series with Copernicus Studios of Canada. The actor's credits include Nickelodeon's SpongeBob, besides having penned scripts, animated scenes and lent voice for toon characters - Larry the Lobster, Plankton, and Potty the Parrot.

The animation team comprises Uli Meyer of the Aladdin fame, Dean Roberts of the Ron's Gone Wrong fame, and Gabriele Zucchelli of the Guardians of the Galaxy fame; in addition to this, art director Craig Kellman.

The project is co-produced by Copernicus president Paul Rigg and the company's Head of Production Matthew Huerto. Osowski will executive produce the film along with MaryAnn Lawrence.

Besides the comedy-horror, Osowski will write and direct the Death Candle. Though the film's plot is kept under wraps, it is positioned as "a satire of scary monster movies paired with a screwball relationship comedy.”
