Former General Hospital actor Johnny Wactor killed in a suspected theft attempt

Wactor portrayed Brando in 160 episodes in the longest running American soap opera General Hospital from 2020 to 2022

Actor Johnny Wactor, popular for his role in General Hospital, has been shot and killed in a suspected theft in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday. He was 37.

The actor's agent David Shaul has confirmed his death.

According to the LA Police Department, Wactor was shot by one of the three suspects who tried to lift the catalytic converter from Wactor's car on Saturday at 3 AM (local time) in the area of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street.

Wactor portrayed Brando in 160 episodes in the longest running American soap opera General Hospital from 2020 to 2022.

Starting his acting career in the Lifetime drama series Army series between 2007 to 2009. He also guested in series like Westworld, The OA, Station 19, Hollywood Girl, and Criminal Minds.

Wactor's feature credits include Nicolas Cage's USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, Trapper's Edge, Supercell, and Menthol.

He is survived by his Scarlett and brothers Lance and Grant.
