Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the first season of which premiered in February 2024, will be back for season 2 on Prime Video. A reimagining of the 2005 film that starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, this series stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine in titular roles.

Glover and his Atlanta colleague Francesca Sloane co-created the series, with Sloane returning as showrunner for season two. Whether Glover and Erskine will reprise their roles remains uncertain, as Amazon is yet to confirm casting for the upcoming season. The series is produced by New Regency and Amazon MGM Studios.

The story revolves around two individuals, who secure positions with a spy organization promising a life of espionage, riches, and adventure. The twist: they must assume new identities and enter into an arranged marriage as part of the deal.

Donald Glover is known for his roles in Solo: A Star Wars Story, Guava Island, and the TV series Community. Up next he has Lando, Community: The Movie, and American Dream: The 21 Savage Story in the pipeline. Maya Erskine is known for her roles in Pen15, Wine Country, and Super Pets.
