Woody Harrelson and Andy Serkis join The Man with the Miraculous Hands

CE Features

Woody Harrelson and Andy Serkis headline a World War II thriller titled The Man with the Miraculous Hands. Oren Moverman is set to direct the film based on his own screenplay. It is billed as a psychological thriller based on a real story set in World War II. Harrelson stars in it as medical masseuse Felix Kersten, who takes up an assignment to be the physican of Heinrich Himmler (Serkis), the chief of Adolf Hitler's Schutzstaffel.

The film reunites Serkis and Harrelson as actors after 2017's War of the Planet of the Apes. The two also collaborated on 2021's Venom: Let There Be Carnage but did not share screen space. Serkis directed the Venom sequel, which also starred Harrelson. It also reunites actor Harrelson and director Moverman after 2011's Rampart.

Eric Jehelmann of Vendôme Group will produce The Man with the Miraculous Hands alongside SND and Eric Jehelmann of Jerico Films. Fabrice Gianfermi of Vendôme Group will executive produce the film with Jeremy Plager. The makers aim to start principal photography on the film later this year.

Serkis is also associated with Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum as both its director and voice actor for Gollum. On the other hand, Harrelson stars in Fly Me To The Moon, Greg Berlanti’s Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson starrer, and Alex Parkinson's survival thriller Last Breath.
