The trailer for the docuseries, Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal, was unveiled by Netflix. The series is all set to premiere on the streamer on May 15.
The official description of the series reads, "When Ashley Madison, a dating site for people seeking adulterous affairs, is hacked, millions of users' intimate data is exposed, wrecking marriages and destroying lives." The three-episode docuseries with a 50-minute runtime, is helmed by Toby Paton.
The series will dive into the birth of a website during the internet's explosive growth period. It follows the stories of users who turned to the site to fulfil a desire lacking in their love lives. However, the series takes a dark turn when a hacking incident brings everything crashing down.
Chris McLaughlin is the producer for Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal, which is backed under the Minnow Films banner. Fiona Caldwell and Sophie Jones are executive producers of the docuseries.
