TriStar Pictures acquires Brenda Hsueh’s Man’s Best Friend

Hsuesh served as one of the writers for last year's Disney/Pixar film Elemental

According to a Deadline report, TriStar Pictures has bought screenwriter Brenda Hsueh’s Man’s Best Friend. As per the report, Man's Best Friend is billed as a high-concept film that falls under the romantic-comedy genre and is a Temple Hill production. Hsueh is not only writing the film; she is also executive producing it through her banner Shoe’s Off Productions along with Yvonne Cheng. No other information about the project has been revealed as yet.

Hsuesh served as one of the writers for last year's Disney/Pixar film Elemental, which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature. She is also making her debut as a director with Match, which is reportedly a science-fiction romantic dramedy. Ginsburg Daniels Kallis and Verve are her representatives.
