Paramount+ releases Ark: The Animated Series in surprise move

CE Features

The first part of the first season of Ark: The Animated Series is now streaming on Paramount+ for audiences in Canada and the US. The series is based on Ark: Survival Evolved, an adventure game from Studio Wildcard. It will be accessible in the other global markets of Paramount+ from April 19 onwards. Paramount+ will release the rest of the episodes in a part II launch sometime later. It has a stellar voice cast that includes the likes of Michelle Yeoh, Gerard Butler, Russel Crowe, Jeffrey Wright, David Tenant, Madeleine Madden, Vin Diesel, and Elliot Page.

The trailer of Ark: The Animated Series was unveiled at the Video Game Awards in 2020, and it teased a 2022 release before another trailer teased a 2023 premiere. The recent launch from Paramount+ comes without any prior intimation from the makers of the show or its distributor.

Ark: The Animated Series follows Madden's paleontologist character as she learns not only how to exist in a primeval island full of prehistoric beasts with the help of allies from across time but also about the new world she inhabits.

Jeremy Stieglitz, Jay Oliva, Sebastian Montes, and David Hartman are the directors of the series, while Kendall Deacon Davis and Marguerite Bennett are its writers. It is a Lex + Otis and Lost Continent Entertainment production.
