Earlier, we had reported that actor-filmmaker Ethan Hawke would helm an upcoming film titled Wildcat, featuring his daughter and actor Maya Hawake in the lead role. Recently, the makers released the film's trailer. 

Wildcat revolves around the short life and legacy of writer Flannery O'Connor, beginning from her days as a struggling up-and-coming novelist. The upcoming film will mark Ethan Hawke's fourth directorial and his first time directing Maya. 

The film has a screenplay written by Shelby Gaines and Ethan Hawke. Ethan also serves as the film's producer along with Joe Goodman, Ryan Hawke, Karri O'Reilly, and Cory Pyke. 

The film also stars an ensemble cast including Oscar-nominee Laura Linney, Philip Ettinger, Rafael Casal, Steve Zahn, Cooper Hoffman, Willa Fitzgerald, Alessandro Nivola, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

It is to be noted that the father-daughter duo have already worked together as co-actors on the limited series The Good Lord Bird.
