The true crime film Fruitcake is all set to star Jennifer Garner and Paul Walter Hauser. The true story is set to be helmed by Max Wrinkler.

The film will revolve around a supposedly honest and reliable middle-class couple, Sandy and Kay Jenkins, who embezzled millions from Collin Street Bakery, the popular Texas-based business.

Hauser will play the unassuming accoutant Sandy, who diverted pools of money into his accounts and credit card bills to support his luxurious lifestyle, while Garner will play his wife, Kay, who enjoyed the expensive jewelry and private jet trips that Sandy made possible through the money laundering.

A 2016 Black List screenplay, Fruitcake is written by Trey Selman and produced by him along with Red Entertainment's Red Sanders. Financing and worldwide distribution of the film is being handled by The Exchange.

Brian O’Shea and Danny Gusman are executive producers under The Exchange, along with Bob McNutt CEO and President of Collin Street and Scott Brown and Megan Creydt of Texas Monthly.
