Irish filmmaker Lee Cronin, fresh off the success of Evil Dead Rise, has struck a first-look deal with New Line Cinema for his upcoming genre projects. This further cements the growing relationship between Cronin and the studio, following the commercial success of Evil Dead Rise.

The deal paves the way for a pipeline of genre-focused films with Cronin at the helm. He will write and direct the films, as well as produce them with his frequent collaborators John Keville and Macdara Kelleher through their Doppelgängers banner. This trio has a track record that includes critically acclaimed films like The Green Knight and yarns like Cocaine Bear.

In a statement, Cronin expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with New Line Cinema.

“Following a wonderful journey working on Evil Dead Rise, the brilliant team at New Line Cinema have offered us the perfect home for the movies we want to bring to life on the big screen. We couldn’t be more thrilled to continue building our relationship with them (sic),” said Cronin.

On the other hand, New Line Cinema said, "Lee is an inventive creator who always strives to engage audiences with his character driven stories (sic)."
