Trailer of The Wild Robot out

The film is helmed by How To Train Your Dragon-fame Chris Sanders

Universal Studios unveiled the trailer of their upcoming animated film with Dream Works, The Wild Robot. The film comes from Chris Sanders who made How To Train Your Dragon and Lilo and Stitch. The film is based on the eponymous book written by Peter Brown.

The trailer shows a robot waking up in a forest, and trying to adapt to survive amidst lush greenery and wild beings. As the robot learns from the animals and birds around it, we hear 'What a Wonderful World' playing in the background, sung in a robotic voice.

The Wild Robot will revolve around the robot named Roz which will be washed ashore on an island. While there is no one, it befriends a gosling named Brightbill along with a group of other animals.

The Wild Robot stars Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Kit Connor, Stephanie Hsu, Mark Hamill, Matt Berry and Ving Rhames. Apart from direction, Chris Sanders has also penned the screenplay for the film. Raymond Zibach is the production designer, with Mary Blee as editor.
