On Monday, the trailer for The Girl in the Pool, an upcoming crime thriller, was unveiled by the makers. Starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Monica Potter and Kevin Pollak in lead roles, the film is helmed by Dakota Gorman and written by Jackson Reid Williams.

The trailer shows Freddie having an affair with a girl, who then dies in his swimming pool. With a birthday party set to begin shortly, he hides the body in the house to protect his family. However, things get messy when his wife, played by Monica Potter and her father (Kevin Pollak) get doubtful, while the mistress' husband comes looking for her.

The official description of The Girl in the Pool reads, "On his birthday, Tom's life collapses when his mistress is found dead in his pool. Terrified of the consequences, and desperate to protect his family, he conceals the truth, triggering a chaotic night that threatens to unravel his perfect life."

Tyler Lawrence Gray, Brielle Barbusca, and Gabrielle Haugh also star in The Girl in the Pool. The film is all set to hit theatres on July 26.
