Andy Serkis: The Batman Part 2 will release as planned

Serkis said it was going to be another brilliant movie and added that Matt Reeves is working really hard on the script

Actor Andy Serkins, who is a part of The Batman Part 2, shared in an interview that Matt Reeves' film is on course to get released on October 2, 2026, as planned.

In his conversation with Popverse, the actor said he was told the filming of the sequel will commence early in 2025 and will release as planned in the subsequent year. The actor, who plays Alfred Pennyworth, added that he loves working with Robert Pattinson.

Talking about the pre-production work of the sequel, Serkis said it is going to be another brilliant movie and added that Matt Reeves is working really hard on the script.

While details regarding the story of the film are currently kept under tight wraps, the film is expected to feature Barry Koeghan’s Joker, who was introduced in a cameo role in the first film. Apart from Pattinson, cast members Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, and Andy Serkis are all set to reprise their roles for the sequel.

Colin Farrell, who played Italian Mafia boss Penguin, is getting his own television series, which will explore the organised crime network in Gotham.
