Brad Pitt's Formula 1 film gets a release date

Earlier, we had reported that a film revolving around Formula 1 is in the works with Brad Pitt in the lead and that it is backed by Apple Original Films.

Directed by Top Gun: Maverick-fame Joseph Kosinski, the sports drama is planned for a theatrical release on June 25, 2025. The film, shot at races on the sport’s calendar, is being made in collaboration with Formula 1. Jerry Bruckheimer, Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, and seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films, are producing the project. Brad Pitt will be seen playing a former F1 driver who returns to the sport representing APXGP, a fictional team, with Damson Idris as his teammate. Actors Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Sarah Niles, Tobias Menzies, Samson Kayo, and Kim Bodnia are part of the star cast.

The yet-to-be-titled film, penned by Ehren Cruger, has cinematographer Claudio Miranda, art directors Oliver Benson and Edd Cross, who have supervised the vehicle and crash scenes, and Hugh McClelland and Steve Smith taking the graphics playback department.
