The series also stars Iwan Rheon, Sara Martins, Tom Hughes, Gabriella Pession, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. The official logline reads thus: "Those About to Die is an epic drama set in the corrupt world of the spectacle-driven gladiatorial competition, exploring a side of ancient Rome never-before told—the dirty business of entertaining the masses, giving the mob what they want most: blood and sport."

Executive producers include Roland Emmerich, Harald Kloser, Gianni Nunnari, Martin Moszkowicz, Jonas Bauer, Stuart Ford, Lourdes Diaz, and Charles Holland.

Those About to Die is slated for a release on Peacock on July 18 in the US. In India, it will drop on Amazon Prime Video.
