Sunny Trailer: Rashida Jones forges a friendship with a domestic robot

Apple TV+ has dropped a new trailer for Sunny, a drama series starring Rashida Jones in the lead role and created by Kate Robbins. Jones stars as Suzie, a Kyoto resident whose life takes a dramatic turn when her spouse and son go missing after a mysterious aeroplane accident. Her only source of solace is Sunny, which is a domestic robot produced by her spouse's electronic company. A tagline of the film reads thus: "There's no manual for investigating your missing family. But there is Sunny."

Joanna Sotomura voices the titular character in the series, which also stars Judy Ongg, You, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Annie The Clumsy, and Jun Kunimura. Sunny is executive produced by Robbins, Jones, Lucy Tcherniak, Ravi Nandan, and Jess Lubben. It starts streaming on Apple TV+ from July 10 onwards.
