The makers of Deadpool & Wolverine dropped a new trailer earlier today, celebrating National Best Friend Day in the USA and Canada. The trailer shows some of the combination scenes between the film's titular characters, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). It comes shortly after a video went viral on People's Instagram account where the film's stars, Jackman and Reynolds, discuss the secrets to their longtime friendship. Shawn Levy directed the film from a screenplay that he wrote with Reynolds, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Zeb Wells. It is the film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to have an 'R' rating.

The plot revolves around Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, as the Time Variance Authority enlists the Reynolds character to help protect the multiverse, thus affecting his tranquil existence. The film also stars Emma Corrin, Rob Delaney, Jennifer Garner, Matthew Macfadyen, and Morena Baccarin, among others.

Deadpool & Wolverine is slated for a July 26 release in theatres worldwide.
