A reboot of the cop procedural series White Collar is being developed by its creator Jeff Eastin, who is writing its screenplay. White Collar stars Matt Bomer, Tiffany Thiessen, and Tim DeKay also confirmed their involvement in the upcoming reboot series. The original series follows the unlikely partnership between an FBI agent (DeKay) and a charming con artist (Bommer) that arises as the former uses the latter's expertise to catch other white-collar criminals. The screenplay that Eastin is writing for the reboot will also profoundly honour the legacy of the late Willie Garson, the actor who played Mozzie in White Collar.

The series is getting a new version as Eastin's original screenplay deliberately concluded the series with an open ending, which sparked a resurgence in its popularity in the streaming space. The makers are yet to reveal plot details, but it would reportedly serve as an introduction for the audience who is new to the story.
