The Angry Birds Movie 3 is in the works at Rovio Entertainment Corporation and Prime Focus Studios, alongside animation partner DNEG Animation. It will bring back Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad as the voice cast for Red and Chuck, the original characters from the franchise. It will also mark the return of The Angry Birds Movie helmer John Rice to the director's chair. Rice will direct the film from a screenplay by The Angry Birds Movie 2 fame Thurop Van Orman.

Based on the Angry Games game series, the first two films reportedly grossed over half a billion worldwide. Prime Focus Studios, Sega Malhotra of Prime Focus Studios, and Rovio Entertainment Corporation will produce this third part. John Cohen, Carla Connor, and Dan Chuba are attached to the project as its producers.

The makers are yet to reveal further details of the film's plot, additional cast, and crew.
