Netflix unveiled a new clip from their upcoming CG-animated superhero film Ultraman: Rising. The film is slated to premiere on the streamer on June 14.

The clip shows Ken Sato (Christopher Sean), aka Ultraman, bringing home a baby Kaiju and not knowing what species or creature it is. Ultraman: Rising will revolve around Ken Sato, a star baseball player, who returns to his homeland Japan, to carry the mantle of Ultraman. However, a newborn Kaiju monster thinks he is her parent, and things take an unexpected turn. Ken is now tasked with bringing up the child of his greatest enemy while also tackling the schemes of the Kaiju Defense Force, and grappling with his estranged relationship with his father.

The film has characters by Eiji Tsuburaya, who is known for co-creating the Godzilla franchise. Shannon Tindle, known for animated work like Caroline and Kubo and the Two Strings, has helmed Ultraman: Rising along with co-director John Aoshima. Tindle has penned the screenplay along with Marc Haimes. Netflix has partnered with Tsuburaya Productions for the film.
