Deadpool and Wolverine earns over Rs 3000 crores; becomes number one opening film of 2024

The latest Marvel film, Deadpool and Wolverine, has made a staggering Rs 3650 crores at the global box office, making it the number one opening film of the year. The film has made Rs. 83.28 cr in India in its first weekend crossing the lifetime collection of both Deadpool 1 and Deadpool 2 in the country.

The film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in lead roles, hit theatres on July 26 and opened to positive reviews. The film directed by Shawn Levy, is also written by him along with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Teese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells. Deadpool and Wolverine is backed by Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy and Lauren Shuler Donner.

The star cast of the film also includes Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Matthew Macfadyen. That apart, cinematographer George Richmond, editors Shane Reid and Dean Zimmerman, and music composer Rob Simonsen make up the technical crew of Deadpool and Wolverine.
